OUR 'BETTER FASTER' COURSES
TeachEnglish.live primarily facilitates the placement of English language teachers in the East Asia region, and elsewhere. In practice this means identifying and confirming teaching appointments in China, Japan, Taiwan and South Korea. [Other regions now included]
Mostly universities, colleges, schools and companies have established curricula which our placement teachers adhere to. However there are many situations where we are asked to provide the 'Building Blocks' to English fluency for our clients' students.
TEACHING COMPANY & UNIVERSITY EXECUTIVES: This request occurs partly from university graduate programmes but mostly from commercial companies both of which have a need for their students to gain fluency rapidly; to be able to follow lectures in English and in the case of companies to pursue English dominated marketing plans.
TE.L has answered this call by producing a multi-part 'Faster and Better' inter-locking system of teaching. The nuts and bolts of the programme was formed in conjunction with the French Air Force (see below), who wanted their pilots to be fluent in English, after a short (say) 3 month intensive English study programme.

You will teach only in English. However, our 'Better Faster' in Programme (in Chinese) is close to being completed. Work starts soon on a Japanese version.
A portion of teachers placed in China use the Better Faster curriculum where no other syllabus is in place. This choice is becoming more popular.
THE BETTER FASTER PROGRAMME [SUPPORTING THE BF/EFL METHOD]
Exciting and colourful videos are viewed by students who then attend an online and live 'teacher-student' 30-minute session. This session covers the content of the recently viewed video. Another 30-minute session is booked to further cover the same video topic and to introduce another language topic, which is then viewed on another video.
It has been shown that this method enhances learning. A group of aviators, with little spoken English knowledge were taken to fluency with a limited vocabulary, inside 3 months. The Better Faster Programme is in hot demand with our clients in China and we need to recruit qualified teachers to cover this programme.
Any teacher joining this programme must have teaching experiences and be fluent (as if a native) in English. The hours of work can be irregular due to the time differences and up to 20 hours a week is common.
