How does this prediction generate profit?
Prize 1: You need to predict the US state where the price of regular gas increased the least, over the past week, ending on the coming Saturday. Get this right and receive credit to your account of 200 shares.

Prize 2: You get the state wrong but the state you do predict is next in alphabetical line to the winning state.

"Next in alphabetical line" means the state before or after your chosen state, in alphabetical order - if your state is just one line removed from the winning state you gain 100 shares.

For example, you predict New York.

And the smallest change state is New York - you win 200 shares.

You predicted New York, so you win. But if you predicted New Mexico, OR, you predicted North Caroline   -  you win 100 shares
